Australian American Leadership Dialogue
Now in its 17th year, the Australian American Leadership Dialogue alternates between Washington DC and a major Australian city.
By invitation, the Australian American Leadership Dialogue brings to annual forums bipartisan leaders from government, enterprise, media, education and the community to help define the bilateral relationship between Australia and the United States. Participants are women and men who have already held leadership roles in their country, and/or are likely to do so in the future. A feature of the Australian American Leadership Dialogue is a constant endeavour to enrich the network with a proportion of new participants each year.
Australia’s purpose is to leverage commendable access into real influence among relevant US policy makers to foster mutual understanding and avoid surprises on matters pertinent to Australian national interests. The Australian American Leadership Dialogue has succeeded in creating such a network of new generation bip artisan, business and community leaders.
Equivalent access in Australia is afforded to American delegates.
