On August 8 – 10, the Australian American Leadership Dialogue (AALD) hosted its 27th Leadership Dialogue program in Perth, WA.
The 2019 program positioned Western Australia as the ‘Gateway to the Indo-Pacific;’ inviting delegates to explore themes of partnership, defence, cyber security, trade and ethics in the digital age, in closed-door sessions.
A highlight of the 2019 program was the annual Leadership Dialogue Gala Dinner, keynoted by ADM Michael Rogers AO (Rtd), former head of the US National Security Agency (NSA) and Cyber Command. ADM Rogers’ remarks centred on our shared strategic opportunities within the Indo-Pacific region, the pertinence of defence intelligence and what the future holds for the Australian-US bilateral relationship.

The AALD would like to thank ADM Rogers AO (Rtd) for his immense contributions to the 2019 Leadership Dialogue Gala Dinner. His insights were nuanced and invaluable and we look forward to his continued contributions to the Leadership Dialogue in the future.
