Lyric Hughes Hale is editor-in-chief of EconVue, a publisher of independent economic news based in Chicago, and is host of the Hale Report, a podcast series focused on economic policy.
A pioneer in digital media in China, she produced the first Super Bowl in China. She has served as a consultant to major US technology firms in Asia. With her husband David Hale, she co- authored “What’s Next?” for Yale University Press and articles on China for Foreign Affairs and has written articles on Asian economies for numerous publications.
A frequent speaker and moderator, Lyric began her studies as a linguist, attended Northwestern University, and graduated from the University of Chicago. She has lived and studied in Iran, Europe and Japan.
