The city will co-manufacture the new AUKUS-class nuclear-powered submarines under the AUKUS partnership. This initiative underscores the city’s importance in enhancing defence capabilities and strengthening international alliances. Adelaide’s Lot Fourteen is a world-class innovation district dedicated to solving complex global challenges. The seven-hectare hub brings together startups, corporations, researchers, and government, fostering a collaborative environment that is driving productivity and innovation. This includes the South Australian Space Industry Centre (SASIC), which is positioning Adelaide as a leader in space technology, as well as the Australian Institute for Machine Learning, which is among the top global sites for computer vision research.
