Steve Clemons is the Editor at Large of Semafor, a new global media company scheduled for launch in October 2022. He is also Contributing Editor and former Editor at Large of The Hill, one of America’s most read political media platforms.
Prior to Semafor, Clemons was a senior editor of The Atlantic, National Journal, and Quartz, as well as the former Executive Vice President of the New America Foundation and former EVP of the Economic Strategy Institute.
Clemons also served in the US Senate as Senior Economic and Foreign Affairs Advisor to Senator Jeff Bingaman, and was the founding Executive Director of the Nixon Center (later renamed the Center for the National Interest).
Clemons was recently made a Chevalier in the French Legion of Honor.
