Ben Gray is a Founding Partner of BGH Capital, Australia’s largest domestically focused private equity fund. BGH owns Navitas (education), CyberCX (Cyber Security services), For Health (medical centres), Abano (dental), TripADeal (Online Travel Agency), Hazeldine (chicken processing), Laurent (bakery) and Village Roadshow (theme parks and cinemas).
Previously, Ben was a Managing Partner at TPG Capital, where he served as the Joint Head of Asia, as the Head of Australia and New Zealand and as a member of the Global Management Committee. Ben spent almost thirteen years at TPG and led A$2.7 billion of equity investments by TPG including Petbarn, Healthscope, Inghams and Cushman & Wakefield.
Prior to joining TPG in 2004, Ben was a Director at Credit Suisse, where he worked in the investment banking division in New York and Australia from 1994. Ben received a Bachelor of Commerce with First Class Honours from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Business Administration with High Distinction (Baker Scholar) from Harvard Business School.
