The 2026 Young Leadership Dialogue (YLD) US Retreat in Washington DC, convened from April 14 – 16 and brought together emerging leaders from across the United States and Australia for three days of open, high-level dialogue.
The YLD delegates engaged with 20 exceptional thought leaders across national security, cyber, defence, government, policy, business, AI and technology. They visited the Pentagon, Capitol Hill, Arizona State University, and the Embassy of Australia — spaces that carry the weight of the alliance itself — and left with a deeper understanding of what it means to lead in a world of genuine complexity and consequence.
