The 34th annual AALD Forum convened recently in Washington DC, bringing together over 200 leaders from government, business, defence, academia, media, and civil society for three days of rich and open dialogue, demonstrating the continued strength of the Australia-US alliance.
We were honoured to host numerous Members of US Congress and Australian Parliament, led by Rep. Joe Courtney, Rep. Don Bacon, and Hon Milton Dick MP, and would like to express our gratitude to them for their continued support of the bilateral relationship.
The 2026 AALD Forum reminded us that the future strength of the alliance will depend not only on governments, but on the continued collaboration between like-minded individuals convening under a shared commitment to democratic values, social cohesion, and trusted relationships.
